Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop methodology, organize and conduct research on new challenges and opportunities that affect/could affect the situation regarding civil society in Ukraine.
- Develop proposals to improve access for Ukrainian civil society organizations to various studies, including, but not limited to studies on challenges and opportunities that affect/could affect the situation regarding civil society in Ukraine.
- Find partners for conducting sectoral or thematic research on civil society, legislation regulating the activities of civil society organizations, conducting research, and their coordination.
- Coordinate sociological studies on the needs and state of the sector.
- Formulate recommendations to improve the legal environment for civil society and strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations.
- Other tasks related to conducting research in the field of civil society.
Position Requirements (Demanded):
- Excellent skills in organizing and writing research, including developing research plans, selecting methodologies, and monitoring timelines.
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to write and edit analytical materials.
- Ability to turn the results of complex research into convincing and realistic recommendations.
- Understanding of civil society activities in Ukraine and abroad.
- Excellent knowledge of English and Ukrainian languages.
Position Requirements (Preferred but not Demanded):
- Experience in conducting research or a list of publications in reputable journals.
- Experience in conducting research in English.
- Experience in cooperation with the government and/or the public sector for conducting thematic research, developing recommendations, or implementing them.
- Education or work experience in an international environment.
