Participants of the first Organizational Development School held as part of the "SOLVE: Strengthening Organizations for Lasting Voice and Effect" Project, studied team and project management secrets, and the basics of fundraising. The project is implemented by ISAR Ednannia with the support of Save the Children and the Humanitarian Leadership Academy (HLA).
"The first Organizational Development School focused on the most pressing issues raised by the participants. During three days, experienced experts shared their knowledge. Thanks to plenty of practical tasks, participants gained valuable experience that, we hope, will prove useful," commented organizational development expert and Head of "Philanthropy Culture Development” Direction at ISAR Ednannia Olga Nikolskaya.
Participants of the First Organizational Development School confirm they improved their skills and gained valuable practical experience, including developing their small projects during the training.
"The Organizational Development School was full of interesting insights. Now, there are many aspects I want to implement in my organization, such as leadership development for our supervisors. These three days were very intensive. I'm already looking at train tickets to attend the next ISAR Ednannia Organizational Development School with other team members," shared Anastasiia Horbachova, Project Manager at the Slavic Heart Charitable Foundation.
"These three days were packed with intense learning. It was a great opportunity to structure the skills I already had, along with gaining new insights on how to approach a project and manage a team, especially ensuring that the right people are in the right roles for a project's success. That was my key question, and it was fully addressed by the ISAR Ednannia team," said Veronika Iliukhina, Project Manager at the Pomahaem Charitable Fund.
The ISAR Ednannia "SOLVE: Strengthening Organizations for Lasting Voice and Effect" Project, implemented with the support of Save the Children in Ukraine and the Humanitarian Leadership Academy (HLA), is aimed at empowering local civil society organizations (CSOs) by enhancing their capacity, resilience, and overall impact to create lasting change in their communities. To support others and initiate positive changes within their communities, CSOs should be strong and resilient to challenges. This requires an ongoing commitment to their organizational development. As part of the project, CSOs will learn about project and financial management, the basics of fundraising, and how to effectively communicate with key audiences and within teams. The second Organizational Development School will take place at the end of October.
