Do international organizations and government agencies listen to the youth? May we thrive without international support? Young people raised these and other pressing issues during the panel discussion "How to Ensure Effective Collaboration Between Authorities, Donors, and Youth for Sustainable Youth Projects" at the seventh national youth event Molodvizh.
For the second year in a row, ISAR Ednannia, in partnership with the network of youth spaces Tvory, initiated this panel discussion as part of the Ukraine Civil Society Sectoral Support Activity.
The discussion included representatives from the UNFPA, UNICEF, USAID DG East Activity, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Lviv City Council, Lviv Regional State Administration, and the Verkhovna Rada.
"More than 200 participants took part in our panel discussion. It circled around questions posed by youth in the Molodvizh chat. Young people set the tone for this challenging discussion, which is encouraging as it shows they are proactive when it concerns international support for Ukraine," notes ISAR Ednannia’s Head of the Partnership Development Direction Iryna Bieliaeva.
This year, Molodvizh had to adapt its format and went in memory of Yaryna Bazylevych and her family, who tragically died on September 4 during a Russian missile strike on Lviv. Yaryna was the program manager of this event. In honor of her and her family, the organizers decided to dedicate this year's event to the victims — renaming it Molodvizh of Remembrance.
Despite all odds, this year's Molodvizh gathered over 2.000 participants who attended 21 panel discussions, exhibitions, fairs, and networking events.
