The German Active Citizenship Fund has already raised over 280,000 euros for the Ednannia-Hilfsfonds Initiative.
ISAR Ednannia allocates the funds through a grant competition for Community Foundations as part of the international fundraising campaign People for People, launched at the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine to support local communities.
In particular, the Berezan Community Foundation received part of the funds. Thanks to donations from German donors, this Foundation supports local youth and takes care of public spaces where residents gather. With the help from the Ednannia-Hilfsfonds Initiative, the Berezan Community Foundation has created five youth spaces and an active citizens' center, benefiting over 3,000 people. These funds also helped renovate the therapeutic department of the Berezan City Hospital. Each year, approximately 2,500 children receive medical care in the hospital's pediatric department.
