Young people from all corners of Ukraine gathered for the Volunteer Engagement and Coordination training for trainers to become certified trainers of the state educational program Youth Worker. The Ukrainian Volunteer Service, with the support of ISAR Ednannia, organized the event.
This is the second phase of the updated educational program, tailored to address the challenges of war. Initially, participants attended four online seminars, and now they are moving on to the in-person part of the training. During three days, the selected participants will deepen their understanding of volunteer culture and learn how to conduct workshops on volunteer recruitment and management within the program. Working in teams, they will practice delivering workshops for youth workers.
"It’s hard to imagine the modern world without volunteers, but they must remain safe. As part of USAID support, we highly value the partnership with ISAR Ednannia and the Ukrainian Volunteer Service, which allows us to foster the development of volunteerism culture," stated Anna Novak, Program Manager at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), during a meeting with young people participating in the Youth Worker program.
Upon completing the training, participants should conduct at least one local training session to receive official certification as trainers for the Youth Worker program.
"ISAR Ednannia is doing everything possible to make volunteering a way of life in Ukraine, ensuring that it is safe and supported by Ukrainian legislation. We highly value collaboration with the Ukrainian Volunteer Service and the state Youth Worker program. This partnership will enable us to multiply knowledge and experience," noted Volodymyr Sheyhus, Executive Director of ISAR Ednannia, while speaking with the youth.
The specialized Volunteer Engagement and Coordination training for trainers is part of the Youth Worker program, implemented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in partnership with the All-Ukrainian Youth Center and the Ukrainian Volunteer Service, and with the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within the Ukraine Civil Society Sectoral Support Activity implemented by ISAR Ednannia in partnership with the Ukrainian Center of Independent Political Research (UCIPR) and Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law (CEDEM).
