How can Resilience Centers communicate with their clients and the public in an inspiring and accessible way? How can they write about work easily and engagingly? And what should they do when false information is being spread about the Center?
To help Resilience Centers easily connect with their target audiences, find effective channels for disseminating information within communities, and handle crises, communication experts from Newsfront Communications presented a practical guide, created with the support of the agricultural holding Astarta. They explained how to carefully plan all necessary communications for a standard day of the Center’s operations, develop effective communication plans for six months, and provide practical recommendations with examples of preparing informational materials.
During the event, participants heard about checklists for preparing the Resilience Centers openings, and guidelines for barrier-free communication, and learned how to respond to negative comments on social media, and critical publications in the media, and resolve conflicts between visitors or staff members of the Centers.
Resilience Centers are a pilot project of the Ministry of Social Policy and are part of the national mental health program How Are You? initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska. The guide's presentation was made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within the Ukraine Civil Society Sectoral Support Activity implemented by ISAR Ednannia in partnership with the Ukrainian Center of Independent Political Research (UCIPR) and Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law (CEDEM).
Resilience Centers will receive the guide directly. Video recording of the presentation is available here:
