With the support of ISAR Ednannia, representatives of civil society organizations participated in a practical webinar focusing on the accounting and tax aspects of providing social services by Resilience Centers.
Participants received valuable advice on how to properly manage financial activities in projects, what the nonprofit code is, how to align the provision of social services with the organization's general statutory activities, and whether it is possible to generate profit from providing social services.
Larysa Shkurka, сertified auditor and director of CompassGroup shared practical recommendations on tax regulations for nonprofit organizations, accounting policies, and maintaining primary documentation. She paid special attention to issues related to corporate income tax, personal income tax, and value-added tax, as well as the proper documentation with staff and local government administrations.
The event served as a platform for discussing the financial challenges faced by social service providers and ways to address them.
