This year’s Civil Society Development Forum logo is visually appealing and deeply symbolic. Created in a mosaic style, it embodies Ukrainian unity and diversity, as each element within the overall design represents a piece of a greater story.

Mosaic art has deep roots in Ukrainian culture, vividly exemplified in the works of Alla Horska. Her legendary panel Boryviter, which symbolized the harmony between nature and humanity, became a victim of Russian blockades and shelling in Mariupol. The fragments of this masterpiece serve as a reminder of the cultural losses we have endured through destruction. They also stand as a symbol of resilience and the enduring beauty that cannot be erased.

The magnificent mosaic of Oranta rises above the main altar of Kyiv's Saint Sophia Cathedral, built by the order of Yaroslav the Wise. For a thousand years, Oranta has stood unwavering, preserving her strength and beauty despite the many turbulent historical events. She is fittingly called the Unbreakable Wall, with a legend stating that as long as Oranta stands, Kyiv will stand, and so will Ukraine.

Thus, the Forum's logo, inspired by Boryviter and the image of the Unbreakable Wall, becomes more than just an illustration — it is a powerful symbol of our identity. It speaks through the art of the resilience of the Ukrainian spirit, of ancient roots that continue to sustain us today. Each piece of the mosaic is unique. Only together do they create the image of Ukraine — united and resilient. We will restore her integrity, return every piece to its rightful place, and preserve our true history. And we will stand firm.
