ISAR Ednannia opened the Volya Youth Center in Tereblia village, part of the Bushtynо community, Tyachiv district, Zakarpattia oblast. UNICEF in collaboration with the Youth Platform NGO, supported the center's opening.
What was once a neglected building with a leaky roof and no windows or doors has now been transformed into a modern space with electricity, heating, plumbing, reinforced walls, and a new roof. The surrounding area has been landscaped, and the interior now features a warm, comfortable, and inviting space equipped with the latest equipment and furniture to support youth initiatives. Most importantly, the youth center is already actively operating, offering youth programs, and building ambitious plans for the future.
“This was one of the most challenging projects we have renovated with UNICEF's support. At the start, we had many doubts about whether we could truly breathe life into the old, shabby building, which was in terrible condition. But together with the local authorities, and most importantly, thanks to the unwavering faith of the local youth, we made the impossible possible! Just take a look at the photos and the impressive results. We have learned to overcome challenges together, and now we can confidently say that ISAR Ednannia knows how to tackle complex tasks with ease and speed,” says Iryna Bieliaeva, ISAR Ednannia’s Partnerships Development Coordinator.
The youth center is located right in the heart of the village, and we wish it to become the heart of community life, a place of strength for young people.
The Volya Youth Center in Tereblia village, which is part of the Bushtyno Territorial Community, was opened in collaboration with the Youth Platform NGO under the Building Youth Potential in the Western Oblasts of Ukraine Project. This project is implemented by ISAR Ednannia with financial support from UNICEF and the Government of Norway.
