Historical ties between Ukraine and Scandinavian countries date back to the early Middle Ages, as evidenced by dynastic marriages and military cooperation. Scandinavian countries are among the most active supporters of Ukraine, which is confirmed by the high level of public support.

Participants of the panel discussion Looking to the Future: Scandinavian-Ukrainian Partnership discussed these topics during the strategic discussion Through Thirteen Centuries and the presentation of the Norwegian-Swedish Askold and Dir Fund, administered by ISAR Ednannia.

Researcher Marina Trattner shared unique findings from Swedish archives about the historical connections between Ukraine and Scandinavia. Anna Novosad, co-founder of the savED International Charitable Foundation, spoke about the valuable experience of Scandinavian countries in education and the opportunities for Ukraine. Human rights activist and Head of the Center for Civil Liberties, Oleksandra Matviichuk, shared her vision for cooperation in human rights protection. The historian Vladlen Maraiev spoke about the historical foundations of relations between Ukraine and Northern European countries. Olesia Ostrovska-Liuta, Director of Mystetskyi Arsenal, moderated the discussion.
