The first meeting of the Supervisory Board of Providing Financial Support as Small Grants for Social Services to Families with Children and Children and/or Early Intervention Services in Ukraine Project took place at the Civil Society Home on March 24. ISAR Ednannia administers the project.
For the first time in the history of social service provision, a project in the social sphere is being implemented with the participation of a Supervisory Board that includes representatives from the government, international organizations, and civil society. It consists of representatives of the Ministry of Social Policy, the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities, UNICEF, the British Embassy, and civil society organizations, including Volodymyr Sheyhus, the Executive Director of ISAR Ednannia. “We are confident that such a partnership will lay the foundation for the successful implementation of the project and the achievement of its goals,” commented Volodymyr Sheyhus.

During its first meeting, the Supervisory Board reviewed a report on the implementation of the Project and approved the next steps. The announcement of a call for proposals for social service providers will be one of the first activities.
The Providing Financial Support as Small Grants for Social Services to Families with Children and Children and/or Early Intervention Services in Ukraine Project is aimed at expanding the social services market, establishing transparent and competitive procedures for procuring social services, and strengthening the capacity of service providers. A public presentation of the project will take place on March 27 from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM. As part of the project, more than 100 social service providers will receive grants to deliver services and enhance their institutional capacity as service providers.

The project is being implemented by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 40, dated January 17, 2025, On the Implementation of a Joint Project with UNICEF Regarding the Provision of Financial Assistance in the Form of Small Grants for Social Services for Families with Children and/or Early Intervention Services.
This Project has been funded by the UK Government under the Social Protection for Inclusion, Resilience, Innovation, and Transformation (SPIRIT) project, implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities, and UNICEF Ukraine, with administration by ISAR Ednannia.
