The final meeting of participants of the SOLVE: Strengthening Organizations for Long-Term Impact Project, implemented by ISAR Ednannia with the support of Save the Children and the Humanitarian Leadership Academy (HLA), took place in Kyiv on April 24-25.
Over two days, representatives of 20 civil society organizations presented the results they achieved during 11 months of participation in the Project and shared successes, challenges their organizations faced, and plans.
"ISAR Ednannia has been promoting a culture of organizational development within Ukrainian civil society for a long time. Our dream is for all Ukrainian CSOs to engage in continuous organizational development. When the full-scale invasion began, we had to close organizational development programs and redirect funds to where they were urgently needed to save lives. However, by May 2022, we relaunched it as we saw that organizations needed to reframe strategies in line with the new realities. We truly hope that participation in this project was valuable and that now the organizations will move forward and upward with renewed confidence and vision," said Olga Nikolska, Culture of Philanthropy Development Program Director at ISAR Ednannia.
During the final meeting, held in the World Café format, participants discussed challenges in organizational development and the humanitarian and development sectors, and reflected on individual and team changes. They emphasized that this project helped them to approach organizational development systematically and to realize that it must be a continuous process.
"The organizations learned to use our unique assessment methodology — the Self-Assessment Tool — and to develop individual development plans. We are proud of each organization’s achievements — they have truly changed, becoming stronger and more motivated for meaningful transformation," noted Anastasiia Buriak, Project and Organizational Development Programs Manager at ISAR Ednannia.
After the event, all participants received certificates, symbolic gifts, and many warm words. Most importantly, they strengthened their capacities and their belief in the long-term impact they can create.
