We are excited to share the success of one of our projects. In everything we do, we aim to create a lasting impact — and this is a great example.
As part of the Lviv School Social Enterprises Project, we not only supported 23 school-based social enterprises but also developed a School Social Entrepreneurship − A Path to Student Self-Realization handbook.
This handbook has now been officially approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as ‘recommended for use in the educational process’. This means it has passed expert review and may be used in schools across the country by those interested in developing school social enterprises.
As part of the Lviv School Social Enterprises Project, 23 teams in the Lviv oblast established school-based social enterprises. Thirteen teams received support under the Project, and ten received funding from the local budget.
The Project has gained national recognition, winning the Ukrainian Enterprise Promotion Awards in 2024. The activities of the school social enterprises have reached more than 3,400 children across the Lviv oblast.
The development of the School Social Entrepreneurship − A Path to Student Self-Realization handbook was made possible by the Western Ukrainian Cluster of Social Enterprises as part of the overall project. The handbook will be useful for educators and students in 8–11grades, offering practical tools for integrating social entrepreneurship into the educational process.
We express our sincere gratitude to the team of authors led by Anna Chuba and Roman Minevich for developing the handbook, and to UNICEF Ukraine for supporting the Project.
We invite all educators and interested stakeholders to make the best use of this valuable resource.
The handbook will be available on the official platforms of the Ministry of Education and Science and in the Civil Society Home’s Analytical Library (in Ukrainian).
This handbook was created within the framework of the Lviv School Social Enterprises Project, implemented by the Western Ukrainian Cluster of Social Enterprises in partnership with the Lviv City Council, as part of the Youth Capacity Development in Western Regions of Ukraine Program. The program is implemented by ISAR Ednannia, with financial support from UNICEF and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the German Development Bank (KfW).
