An important meeting of representatives of veterans’ organizations with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs was held at the Ministry’s initiative. ISAR Ednannia provided organizational support and facilitation for the event.
We are grateful to the Ministry for its credence. It was especially valuable that the Minister for Veterans Affairs, Nataliia Kalmykova, personally took part in the meeting and spoke openly with community representatives.
During the discussion, veterans shared their experience implementing projects aimed at supporting the veteran community, outlined key challenges, and offered proposals for further cooperation.
Among the participants was Kharkiv resident Ihor Shyshko, who, after 801 days in captivity, now heads the regional Plich-o-plic (Side-by-Side) Hub, a place where veterans and their families receive psychological support, undergo rehabilitation, study, and find new opportunities for life in a peaceful environment. Volodymyr Rudkovskyi, a service member who works as a motivational coach at the UNBROKEN Center, a place where service members and civilians who have suffered wounds or injuries receive comprehensive medical, psychological, and social support, also participated.
ISAR Ednannia values the openness of government bodies to direct dialogue with the veterans’ community and stands ready to continue facilitating the active involvement of veterans in public decision-making and the implementation of veterans’ policy.
