The GROW Project aims to support communities affected by the war in recovery, rebuilding connections between key stakeholders, and exploring new opportunities for sustainable living and wellbeing.

The Project focuses on strengthening local civil society organizations (CSOs) operating in frontline and de-occupied oblasts, providing them with resources, knowledge, and support to restore social infrastructure, launch new services, and promote active civic engagement.

Key Project’s components:

  • Community Mapping and Consultations
    Mapping local needs, resources, and key stakeholders in five target communities through desk research, focus groups, etc. The results will inform the Project’s next steps, including the grant competition.
  • Grant Support
    Expected launch: September 2025. 50 local organizations will receive grants (average $10,000) to implement initiatives critical for community recovery.
  • Educational Component on Alternative Income Generation
    200 community members will receive training in digital income opportunities, crafts, and service provision.
  • CSO Capacity Building
    Training on organizational development tailored to participant priorities, interregional exchange, and participation in the Civil Society Development Forum.
  • Communications and Visibility
    Enhancing the visibility of local CSOs’ work and producing 20 stories of grassroots activism.
