The SOLVE: Strengthening Organizations for Long-Term Impact Project is implemented by ISAR Ednannia with the support of Save the Children and the Humanitarian Leadership Academy. It aims to expand the capacity of local civil society organizations by enhancing their potential, increasing resilience, and strengthening impact to achieve long-lasting effects in communities.
As part of the project, CSOs received training in project and financial management, fundraising basics, and communication with key audiences and within teams.
To implement the project, ISAR Ednannia conducted an organizational capacity assessment to identify gaps, needs, and priority areas for development for each organization. The initial assessment consisted of two components: a self-assessment using the Self-Assessment Tool, which allows organizations to evaluate nine key areas of organizational development, and an external assessment. Following the comprehensive evaluation, each organization received tailored recommendations for improvement.
Throughout the project, more than 15 organizational development experts provided diverse support to participants: over 3,500 hours of consultations, mentoring, facilitated sessions, training, and individual visits to organizations. Together with the experts, the organizations managed to develop around 80 key documents that helped structure daily operations, establish development benchmarks, and launch new work processes.
In addition, the project included four Organizational Development Schools, four thematic online trainings, the certification of 52 organization representatives through two trainings on the Sphere Minimum Humanitarian Standards, and the development of a strategic guide for nonprofit organizations, Organizational Development — Mission POSSIBLE.
